Hi, I'm Joanna

I would describe myself as a friendly, fun, all-round creative person, focusing on creating really beautiful floristry. I am so much more than ‘just a florist’ and I’m always trying to bring my art background into my work as a designer. I’m blessed to have worked in an industry I love for the past 18 years, creating wonderful designs from my studio in Ripon, North Yorkshire. My floral design work is extremely client led, listening to what each couple or business desires and making suggestions to further enhance their ideas. My aim is to maximise each floral investment, creating the very best visual effect, and really reflecting the style and personality of each couple or company. Every event or wedding I work on is so unique and yet I can still see my artistic handwriting running through everything created. It’s a joy to see.

Where Design Aesthetics Meet

“It’s a real privilege to jump into a client’s brain and work to understand their thought process, especially when they are struggling to find clarity with their ideas. We have lots of really strange conversations, throwing descriptive words around to allow me create a design brief for us all to work from, delving into the overall look and feel the client desires.”
A degree in design

A degree at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in Dundee left me with a lovely BA Hons in Design, specialising in knitting and weaving - there aren’t many of us in the world! I spent my weekends climbing Scottish mountains and fell in love with the landscape and its colours.

My Journey to Floristry
“It gives me great joy to create beautiful things for myself, my home and for others. I’m a great believer in that we must share our skills and I do enjoy being generous with my crazy brain and all random ideas that pass through it.”
