Floral abundance inspired by the bride’s love of art and her work as an artist was the inspiration for this elegant wedding at Allerton Castle, North Yorkshire.

Floral Styling & Colour Palette

A romantic ‘watercolour’ inspired colour palette was chosen for the ceremony in the Great Hall, adding femininity and softness against the gorgeous dark wood panelling. Armfuls of soft larkspur, delicate scabious and hydrangea were used in a palette of ivory, pale blue, lilac, dusky pink and lemon.

As a complete contrast, a much brighter, richer ‘acrylic paint inspired’ colour palette was chosen for the wedding breakfast meal in the blue dining room. Bold large headed roses and dark green foliage providing a much stronger, more dramatic look. Tall fluted vases added structure and grandeur while a fully decorated sweetheart table created a perfect spot for the happy couple to celebrate.
