Christmas Wreath Workshops
Cathedral Workshops, Ripon
Welcome guests into your home with a personalised Christmas door wreath finished with a beautiful velvet ribbon bow.
Guided by experienced florist Joanna, you will learn how to create a classic mossed base, add a beautiful mix of seasonal foliage and embellish with dried oranges, berries and ribbons.
All materials and tools are provided, just bring yourself, warm layers of clothing and an apron so we can get super creative and start feeling festive. Feel free to bring items to include if you would like to. It’s all about feeling inspired and creating a design you love.
Classes take place at Joanna’s private studio in Ripon, with plenty of free parking available on site, and there will be mince pies supplied by a local artisan baker and mulled wine to enjoy on the day.
If you have a group of 6 or more friends, I’m happy to discuss booking a private workshop on a date and time to suit you. This can be held in our studio space in Ripon or at your home if you have a space where we can get creatively messy.
An online version of this workshop will be available for those who cannot attend in person. To join my waitlist and get notified when the online workshop is available, click here.

Hello! I'm Joanna!
I have always been a lover of art and all things creative, but like so many other people, I was told that art wasn’t a “proper” subject to study after high school. So, while the days were reserved for science, the evening was reserved for art.
With the encouragement of an amazing teacher, I was able to put a basic portfolio together that won me a place on a foundation art course, and I had the most fantastic year exploring fine art painting, ceramics, textile design, fashion, photography and more. I started as the student with the most to learn and left with a distinction.
For years, I channelled my creativity into the world of textiles, but when it came time for a change, I made the jump to floristry and I’ve never looked back! 17 years later, I’ve had the joy of creating amazing floral installations for hundreds of couples, and now I have the opportunity to pass my knowledge and love of floristry and the natural world onto people like you!
“My workshops are all about sharing in a love of creativity and inspiring others to be curious about the beauty of the natural world (without sitting in a cold muddy field!)”
